Engineered specifically for turbo diesel applications. Our Stage 2 Progressive EGT Diesel Kit is as simple as it gets. Once installed, operation is very simple. The Vari-Cool controller has a MIN, MAX and TUNE knob. The MIN knob is adjustable between 86 and 2000 degrees F, the Max has the same range. For example, if you set the min knob to 800 and the Max to 1400, the system would turn on at 800F and give you a variable flow to 1400 F at which time the system will be on full flow. The tune button is the MAX flow rate you want. For example, if you have the tune on 10 you will have full pressure at the nozzles at max EGT, 9 will give you 92%, 8 will be roughly 88%, etc. That is why the Vari-Cool Controller will allow you to tune the exact amount of flow you need. No other controller on the market can make that claim.
Once activated the system will spray a progressive amount of fluid through the nozzle or nozzles based on the custom map you have set. Flow will also reduce perportionally as boost & EGT's drop off and will not turn off untill boost or EGT's drops back down below the set activation point.

You'll need to buy the windshield wiper fluid that is rated for negative 20 degrees or greater below zero. It is only this windshield wiper fluid, which contains a 50% content or greater of methanol. Using strictly windshield wiper fluid you can expect to see a 50-200+ degree drop in air intake charge temperatures on supercharged and turbocharged engines with horsepower gains ranging from 10-15% are common. (temperature drops and horsepower gains vary depending on engine build, type supercharger or turbocharger used, amount of boost and intercooled or non-intercooled)
