Does It Matter Which Why I Mount The Water Injection Pump   by Editor

Does It Matter Which Way I Mount The Water Injection Pump?

We are often asked by customers "Does it matter which way I mount the Pump?" The answer is no. It makes no difference if the water methanol injection pump is mounted upside down, sideways, flat etc. You can mount the pump however you want and it will perform the same.

What is important when discussing mounting the water injection pump is it's location to the tank and keeping it dry. When mounting the pump its always preferred, but not required, to mount the pump below and near the tank. This simply ensures there is always fluid sitting at the inlet of the pump. When mounting the pump below the tank is not an option. You may either mount the pump next to the tank or slightly above the tank. Our pumps are capable of sucking the fluid out of the tank.

Additionally, when mounting the water injection pump you‘ll want to choose a location which protects it from getting wet if the vehicle is driven in the rain or through puddles. The motor on the back of the pump is not sealed. Water can enter into the electrical motor causing it to rust and fail. If you are going to mount the pump under the vehicle. We offer a weather protecting boot which you can add to the pump. Sealing the motor and keeping moisture out of it.
