Cool Your Magnacharger For More Performance

The roots style superchargers such as Magnacharger, are know for their ability to produce large amounts of boost with very little rpm. In many cases reaching full boost by 2000 rpm, largely contributing to their ability to produce massive amounts of torque and horsepower at low rpm levels.

However, one disadvantage of the Magnacharger and other roots style superchargers over other forced induction designs is it’s thermal inefficiency. Referring to it’s tendency to develop higher discharge temperatures compared to that of other compressor designs. These higher discharge temperatures rob power from the engine.

Through the use of water methanol injection were are able to remedy this issues almost entirely. Reducing discharge temperatures by up to 200+ degree’s while also cooling the supercharger internally thereby improving it’s thermal efficiency allowing users to safely run more boost with less. In return, the threshold for detonation is pushed back dramatically improving over all engine reliability by reducing the possibility of detonation.
